Our facility in Clarendon, SC manufactures Oriented Strand Board which is used in residential and commercial construction for sub-flooring, roof sheathing, exterior sheathing and other residential and commercial construction applications.
Georgia-Pacific is recruiting for the Finishing Support position for our facility in Clarendon, SC. This role creates value by providing assistance to the packaging line operators and finishing line coordinators by monitoring the flow of products within the department. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide assistance to the packaging line operators and finishing line coordinators.
Monitors finishing line for any stoppages and assists with troubleshooting to restart product flow
Tagging bundles of OSB, change out stencil inserts and plates.
Perform shrouding on T&G products.
Separate downgrade boards from A-Grade bundles.
Performs general housekeeping duties in work area
Must be forklift certified.
Clean paint booth.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
At least 2 years of experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Available to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.
Willing to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.
Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment with.
Willing and able to wear the necessary Personal Protection equipment (PPE) (i.e. hard hats, safety glasses, face shield, chemical suit, respirator, ear plugs, hearing protection, steel-toe boots or safety shoes and other PPE required by specific jobs).
Willing and able to perform physically demanding tasks repetitively for extended periods of time (i.e. lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling).
Willing to sign a confidentiality agreement as a condition of employment.
