We are hiring an Electrical Apprentice for our Georgia-Pacific Oriented Strand Board facility in Alcolu, SC. The Electrical Apprentice will create value by learning the everyday operations of an OSB mill and how to prevent breakdowns, maintain and fix the machinery involved in the process. A Day In The Life Typically Includes:
  • Partnering with a mentor to learn basic manufacturing electrical maintenance
  • Repair motor controls and sensors
  • Instrumentation and low voltage distribution
  • PLC Programming using Allen Bradley
What You Will Need: Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited technical or college electrical program
  • Experience using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel for record-keeping and documentation purposes
  • Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, dusty and noisy industrial environment
  • Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
  • Willing and able to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, climbing, stooping, pushing/pulling, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Willing to work shift work

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
